A Word from Father Manny...
Every beginning of liturgical year which is the First Sunday of Advent is our “New Year” in the Church. We ought to hear Christ’s story better, understand it more deeply, and make it more personal, our own.
As we move into a new liturgical year, let us be open always to the coming of Christ’s anytime he comes into our lives. Let us not worry so much about our own individual end in death, which is certain to come in so many different ways which we never know. Let us continue to entrust to our Good Lord this new litur-gical year knowing that the world, we are in, is in His protecting hands and beyond our control.
Let us thank God always, every sunrise and sunset of each day and try to live “one day at a time” with God for we never know of what lies ahead of our tomorrow. May God bless and keep us always in His care. Amen.
Through St. Francis,
2015 Fall Festival
On behalf of the 2015 Fall Festival Committee for the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi we want to thank you for your generosity and support during this year’s Fall Festival. Mother Teresa said; “We cannot do great things on this earth, only small things with great love”.
You have given from your heart and love for our church and we truly appreciate it. Without your help we would not be able to make this Fall Festival a success.
It was an inspiration to see all the youth and adults volunteering together and enjoying the festivities. We had a great team of volunteers to work on the setup and tear down after the event. Next week we will give you an update on all the activities and let you know how much money was raised and as you know the funds will go toward the building fund.
We ask for your prayers as we all worked together as a team and we will continue to work for St. Francis of Assisi.
